About Me
I’m a Los Angeles native, and an Orange County transplant.
Although I studied Genetics and Japanese at UC Davis, I am now a marketing and communications director. I enjoy the creativity of marketing. Being at the forefront of news and technology keeps my job interesting. I’m always learning something new.
I like to be involved… especially when it has something to do with the community, government and leadership. To this end, I’m back in school at UC Irvine’s Merage School of Business pursuing an MBA.
I love food – cooking and eating. I enjoy entertaining. I like reading, political satire, HBO and Showtime shows, listening to podcasts. I spend way too much time researching, interacting with and testing new and social media applications.
If ever I play and win the lottery, I would like to spend more time sailing, taking photographs, golfing, cycling, wine-tasting, and traveling.
My iPod favorites include old-school R&B and rap (yes, as my husband calls me, I am ghetto), but also opera and chanting monks.
What makes a bad day, good: pop orchestras, my dog, watching rain fall in my backyard, and thumbing through old photographs.
Pablo once asked me to name five things that I would like accomplish in my lifetime. My mind changes constantly, but here are my current five:
- Own/chef a restaurant or catering service (ala the Barefoot Contessa)
- Complete a sprint triathalon (I will never have time to train for anything longer)
- Skipper a sailboat through the Panama Canal
- See the modern seven wonders of the world
- Own a place in Europe (maybe Prague or France) and Japan.
