Gotta’ love the Colbert Report… I beat out the Grizzly Bears!

Special thanks to Pablo!
Read moreDear Friends,
As part of a class on managing innovation for my schooling, I’ve created Dilettante Hostess — a Web store featuring culinary tools, ingredients, recipes and more.
Please peruse the site, and offer me any comments. I appreciate feedback.
Over the next four weeks, if you have any occasion to purchase culinary goods (Mother’s and Father’s Days!), please consider my store.
All profits from sales at Dilettante Hostess will be given to a good cause of my choosing through a partnership at Global Giving.
Rest assured – all sales will be transacted with, and fulfilled by partner vendor Amazon.com. Many of my items qualify for $25 super-shipping.
Any word-of-mouth support or promotion would very much be appreciated!!

Read moreBecause I have nothing else to do… I decided to put into full-function Voix de Novice.
I’ve held this URL domain for some time, using it as a repository for school team projects and fun graphics.
Not sure if I like the title yet. The original name was Main Dilettante. Then I changed it to Voix.de.Novice this weekend.
Lost in Mastication is the half of me that enjoys life to the fullest. Voix de Novice is the other half of me that is confused, and often disgruntled.
Add the other half of Lady Keli to your blogrolls now!

This is a diversion from Lost in Mastication which follows my passion for food, photography and other leisures.
Voix de Novice is exactly that… I’ll share my non-dexterous thoughts and experiences on things related to my career, education, and non-leisure interests.
Enjoy! And please do pleasure me with your interactions (e.g. comments, rants, raves)!

1. Pack an extra outfit and SOME liquid necessities, like contact lens solution. Taking out a plastic bag from my carry-on is worth avoiding the pink-eye that I got and couldn’t get treated in Russia.
2. I will not be so bothered about taking a slightly bulky carry on… a little forethought to pack an extra set of clothes (or at least underwear) on a carry-on is worth saving the potential stress in a foreign country.
After my luggage failed to arrive in L.A., I learned:
1. Don’t think I’m immune to Heathrow’s (new) black hole.
2. Don’t think that the luggage will follow within 24-hours, as it did in Moscow. It took some 144-hours to get my luggage back!
3. Don’t pack more than you can recover from an airline (cough, British Airways), including the cost of the suitcase. So not worth trying to look cute in Prague, to potentially lose my Laundry overcoat or Cole Haan boots.
